Football: Week 19 in Turkish league to kick off Friday

Leader Basaksehir to play against Kasimpasa while runner-up Galatasaray to face Goztepe

ISTANBUL (AA) - Besiktas will face Erzurumspor on Friday to begin Week 19 of Turkey's Spor Toto Super Lig.

Istanbul's Medipol Basaksehir led the league with 38 points, the reigning champions Galatasaray and Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor have 32 points each, followed by Kasimpasa, Trabzonspor and Besiktas with 29 points each.

The runner-up Galatasaray will play against Goztepe on Saturday while Fenerbahce will face Evkur Yeni Malatyaspor and the leader Medipol Basaksehir will play against Kasimpasa on Monday.

In Week 18 of Turkey's Spor Toto Super Lig, Fenerbahce drew Bursaspor 1-1 in an away match on Monday in their first league match since the winter break and moved out of the relegation zone of the Turkish Super football league with goal difference.

The "Yellow Canaries" were desperate for a win to stay close to league's top.

Fenerbahce with 17 points are currently at 15th place in the league -- 21 points away from the top of the league and 2 points away from the bottom of the league.
