Football: Week 2 of Turkish league to kick off Friday

ANKARA (AA) - Besiktas will face Goztepe on Friday at Istanbul's Vodafone Park to begin Week 2 of Turkey's Super Lig.

Besiktas seek to gain their first points this season, as they lost to Demir Grup Sivasspor 3-0 in the first week of the league.

On Saturday, the leader Fenerbahce will take on Istanbul Basaksehir in an away match in Istanbul.

Fenerbahce started the new season with an impressive victory against the newly promoted Gazisehir Gaziantep last week.

The Yellow Canaries hammered their rival 5-0 in their first game of the league while Istanbul Basaksehir lost to Malatyaspor 3-0 in an away match.

On Sunday, Trabzonspor will face Yeni Malatyaspor at home for their first triumph in the league.

In addition, reigning champions Galatasaray will face Konyaspor in their first home match to get their first win of the season on Sunday.
