Football: Week 9 in Turkish league to kick off Friday

Reigning champs Galatasaray lead Spor Toto Super Lig with 18 points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Galatasaray will play against Bursaspor on Friday evening to begin Week 9 of Turkey's Spor Toto Super Lig.

Matchday 9's first game will be played at Galatasaray's Turk Telekom Stadium in Istanbul at 8.30 p.m. local time (1730GMT).

Reigning champions 'The Lions' lead the league with 18 points.

On Saturday, Fenerbahce will play against Demir Grup Sivasspor in an away match. Yellow Canaries are desperate for a win to stay close to league's top.

Currently, Fenerbahce with 8 points stayed in 15th place in the league, 10 points away from the leader.

On Sunday, Besiktas will face Goztepe in away match in Izmir.

The leader Galatasaray followed by Basaksehir, Besiktas and Kasimpasa with 15 points each.
