French basketball star De Colo joins Fenerbahce Beko

ANKARA (AA) - Istanbul basketball giants Fenerbahce Beko signed French star Nando De Colo on Saturday.

Fenerbahce posted a video on Twitter announcing De Colo's signing, and De Colo sent Fenerbahce a message on social media.

"Hello Fenerbahce fans, I am really happy that I will be wearing Fenerbahce Beko's jersey next season. So looking forward to see you very soon in Istanbul with my family," 32-year-old De Colo said in the video.

Fenerbahce said De Colo will play for them until the end of the 2021-2022 basketball season.

De Colo last played for Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow before leaving in June.

In 292 appearances at CSKA, De Colo averaged 16.4 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.9 rebounds.

The French international, who has played for CSKA Moscow since 2014, twice won the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague title as a CSKA player.

De Colo was also named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of EuroLeague's full season and Final Four in 2016.
