French police kill Strasbourg shooting suspect
Interior Minister Christophe Castaner expected to make statement

PARIS (AA) - French police shot dead Strasbourg shooting suspect Cherif Chekkat on Thursday, local media reported.
Chekkat, 29, was killed during a police operation on Lazaret Street, according to reports.
French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner is expected to make a statement.
On Tuesday, a gunman opened fire at a Christmas market in Place Kleber square before leaving the scene.
Police said security forces raided the suspect’s house but failed to find him.
