ANKARA (AA) - A prosecutor in southeastern France launched a YouTube channel to inform the public on judicial matters, a first in the country, local media reported on Wednesday.

Prosecutor Eric Vaillant – who has been working in Grenoble city for four years – carried out the project he dreamed of for long, radio broadcaster France Bleu said.

Eric Vaillant aims for the better functioning of the judiciary system and informing members of the judiciary.

"In justice and in the prosecution, some magistrates pronounce sharp verdicts on complicated subjects, and I thought it would be interesting to interview them and inform the public about them," the prosecutor said.

The first video is already on air, where Vaillant has interviewed a colleague who specialized in sexual violence cases.

"I observe my relationship with other Twitter users," he said. "There are not only law students, journalists, attorneys, or colleagues, but Mr. and Mrs. Everyone, and I like it. I try to answer a maximum of questions and I know that people find interesting sexual violence topics."

Vaillant further said his aim is to find solutions to the problems of co-citizens.

The prosecutor added that he wants to address domestic violence topics in future episodes.
