French survey finds 29% of nurses considering leaving profession within year

PARIS (AA) - A French survey revealed Thursday that 29% of nurses are considering leaving the profession within 12 months.

And 89% of nurses and patients are concerned about access to health institutions.

It indicated that 83% said their working conditions have deteriorated, especially in recent months.

Less than 30% said they would recommend the profession to their children or relatives.

The survey was conducted by the National Union of Nurses (ONI) with 49,434 respondents.
