Galatasaray miss chance to nab top football league lead

ANKARA (AA) - Galatasaray drew with Konyaspor 0-0 in an away game on Monday evening in Spor Toto Super Lig, Turkey's premier football division, missing their chance to take over leader's spot.

Reigning champions took to field to level their points with league leaders Medipol Basaksehir, who lost 10 points in their last 5 games.

'CimBom' started the match looking for the leading goal, but stiff Konyaspor defense did not allow Galatasaray to do so.

The second half was the same as the first half, as Galatasaray continued to miss chances.

After week 30, Medipol Basaksehir remained on top of the league with 62 points, while Galatasaray is second with 60 and Besiktas are at 3rd place with 59 points.
