50-years-old language expert working for German armed forces is accused of spying for Iran

BERLIN (AA) - German authorities have detained a German-Afghan citizen on Tuesday over accusations of spying for Iran.
Federal Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement that 50 years-old Abdul Hamid S., who has been working at the German armed forces as a language expert, was detained by the police.
“He is believed to have passed insights to an Iranian intelligence agency", the statement added.
