Attack put hundreds of people's lives at risk and has led to serious shortage of medical supplies, says militia

SANA’A, Yemen (AA) - Yemen’s Houthi militia accused the Saudi-led Arab coalition Thursday of targeting a medical supply depot in the capital Sana’a.

The attack put hundreds of people's lives at risk and has led to a serious shortage of medical supplies, the Houthis’ Human Rights Ministry said in a statement, blaming the coalition countries for undermining the region’s stability.

The Saudi-led coalition has yet to issue a response.

Yemen has been beset by violence and chaos since 2014, when Houthi rebels overran much of the country, including Sana’a.

The crisis escalated in 2015 when a Saudi-led military coalition launched a devastating air campaign aimed at rolling back Houthi territorial gains.

Tens of thousands of Yemenis, including civilians, are believed to have been killed in the conflict, which has led to the world’s worst humanitarian crisis as millions remain at risk of starvation.
