ICESCO approves funding for 9 Palestinian projects

ANKARA (AA) - The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) announced Monday that it has approved funding for nine Palestinian projects.

The projects will be implemented in the second half of 2021 in partnership with the Palestinian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, ICECSO said in a statement.

The statement noted that the funded projects are in the fields of education, science and culture and are meant to benefit all Palestinian geographical locations in northern and southern governorates as well as rural communities.

Special attention will be given to the projects covering Jerusalem, which is being subjected to all forms of systematic violations and attacks by the Israeli occupation, it said.

It reiterated that funding for the projects reflects its support for the Palestinian cause in light of the grave violations committed against the Palestinian people.
