India's consumer inflation eases to 5-month low in July
Annual inflation falls to 6.71% in July from 7.01% in June, thanks to fall in commodity prices

ANKARA (AA) - India's annual consumer inflation dipped to a five-month low of 6.71% in July, thanks to a fall in some commodity prices, according to official data released on Friday.
The figure decreased for the third month in a row in July, down from 7.01% in June, the country's statistical office data showed.
Prices eased for food (from a 7.56% rise in June to an increase of 6.75% rise in July), transportation and communication (from 6.9% to 5.55%), and health (from 5.47% to 5.45%).
Meanwhile, prices surged for fuel and light (to 11.8% in July from 10.39% in June) and education (to 5.02% from 4.51%).
On a monthly basis, India’s consumer price index increased 0.46% in July.
