ANKARA (AA) - Anadolu Agency, which has shared Turkey's election and referendum results in the fastest and most accurate way since last four years, is the source of news for national and local media.

The agency has a professional staff in Turkey's 81 provinces to broadcast results coming out of ballot boxes.

It has established a countrywide network of reporters to convey the results of elections in the fastest way, the result of which are then announced on the website -- secim.aa.com.tr -- along with maps and graphics.

It has also prepared a “candidate database”, showing their photographs, curricula vitarum, and names of those whose candidacy has been finalized.

When the Supreme Board of Election announced the official results, it confirmed the fact that Anadolu Agency provided the public with correct results; all official results had overlapped with those given by Anadolu Agency.

- Anadolu Agency referendum results

On April 16, 2017, Anadolu Agency announced the referendum results to the public in 11 languages at every minute.

It shared accurate referendum results via its subscribers.

Following last year's referendum, Turkish voters had approved the switch from a parliamentary system to a presidential one.

TV programs, national and local newspapers, websites as well as international media kept a close watch on Anadolu Agency’s election results.

When the head of the Supreme Board of Election Sadi Guven announced the official results for parliamentary election on Nov. 1, 2015, it once more confirmed Anadolu Agency’s results, defeating claims that Anadolu Agency manipulates results.

- Main content provider

Anadolu Agency was the main content provider for the media when it conveyed the results of the local election on March 30, 2014, presidential election on Aug. 10, 2014 and the general election on June 7, 2015.

The world media also cited Anadolu Agency as a source for its reports on elections and referendum in Turkey.

- June 24 elections

Anadolu Agency has set up systems and prepared its software infrastructure to broadcast each moment of the presidential and parliamentary election results directly from the ballot boxes on June 24.

The agency will conduct multiple cyber tests so that TV channels and websites broadcasting the election results on election day can test their own softwares and systems.

During the tests, random results will be produced for presidential candidates and political parties. These results will be sent to subscribers so that they are able to test the data transmission and subscriber softwares.
