The event at Nana Hall in Banjul was a part of 12th International Student Gathering, organized in over 50 countries by the Turkey-based Federation of International Student Associations (UDEF).

Speaking about the main aim of the event, Ali Aktas, a representative of UDEF, said: “We want peace and brotherhood to dominate the whole world.”

“We’d like to come together in the same way to share and increase our art, our commercial relations, our culture, our food and drinks.

“As well as brotherhood and friendship, we will be able to establish commercial ties and so we’ll see the benefits of growing up together,” he added.

Gambian graduates shared their experiences during their study in Turkey as they advised the prospective students about Turkish culture, food and education system.
