Iraq: Fallujah-based Daesh/ISIS terrorist arrested

So-called 'security official' for Fallujah captured in city west of capital Baghdad, say anti-terror units

ISTANBUL (AA) – A terrorist member of Daesh/ISIS based in Fallujah, Iraq has been captured, Iraqi security forces announced on Sunday.

According to a statement by Iraqi anti-terror units, the terrorist so-called “security officer” was caught in an operation against Daesh/ISIS in Fallujah, a city west of the capital Baghdad in the Al Anbar province.

The name of terrorist was not given.

Separately, Iraq’s Defense Ministry announced on Jan. 16 that Daesh’s so-called “mufti” Shifa Al-Nima, also known as Abu Abdul-Bari, was captured in the northern city of Mosul.
