Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation to elect new head

Vote to elect new chairman of the board will be held in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah on Monday

ANKARA (AA) - The General Assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation will vote to elect a new chairman of the board on Monday, according to Saudi Arabia's official news agency SPA.

The elected chairman will be a successor to Turki Al-Sheikh, who has resigned recently.

The new chairman will assume duty until 2021.

Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef Al-Othaimeen will attend the assembly, while fifth version of the Islamic Solidarity Games in 2021 will also be discussed.

During the meeting, the administrative, technical and financial reports done by the General Secretariat of the Federation will be discussed as well.
