Israel arrests 'knife-holding' Palestinian in W. Bank

HEBRON, Palestine (AA) - The Israeli army on Sunday detained a Palestinian on claims of possessing a knife in the occupied West Bank, according to local residents.

The Palestinian individual was arrested as he was passing through a checkpoint in Hebron city, they said.

Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, meanwhile, claimed the Palestinian suspects was planning a stabbing attack in the area.

Palestinian and Israeli authorities have yet to comment on the report.
