JERUSALEM (AA) – Israel and Austria on Tuesday signed a comprehensive strategic partnership deal that covers the security, anti-terrorism and cyber fields.
The partnership agreement also includes cooperation in the fields of health, tourism, ecology, innovation and investment, the Israeli Prime Minister’s office said in a statement.
The deal was signed by Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid and Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, who is in Israel on an official visit.
According to the statement, both leaders discussed deepening cooperation in the fight against anti-Semitism and measures to preserve the Holocaust memory.
During the discussions, Lapid underlined Israel's rejection to any international nuclear deal with Iran, the statement said.
Nehammer, for his part, said on Twitter that his country is closely linked with Israel and will expand partnership "in the areas of security, economy and civil society."
