JERUSALEM (AA) - Israel and Bahrain seek cooperation against Iranian drones, Israeli media said Friday.
Citing an Israeli military source, Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, reported that the countries see Iranian drone attacks in the region as a growing threat.
It is noteworthy that the news came after Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid’s visit Thursday to Bahrain.
According to Israeli sources that Haaretz spoke with, Israel could help Bahrain’s vessels travel safely in the Gulf and other seas.
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called Lapid’s visit historic.
“We will continue to deepen the warm ties and collaborations with the countries of the region,” Bennett said on Twitter.
