Israel concludes weeklong exercise along Lebanon border

JERUSALEM (AA) - The Israeli army on Friday wrapped up a weeklong military exercise along the Lebanese border.

“Commanders and soldiers received training in occupying and clearing areas, engaging enemy forces, and evacuating wounded while under fire," army spokesman Avichay Adraee said in a statement.

According to the spokesman, this week’s exercise was the final stage of a larger four-month training initiative carried out at the brigade level.

For the past year, the Israeli army has conducted several military exercises simulating combat along the Syrian, Lebanese and Gazan fronts.
