By Abdelraouf Arnaout

JERUSALEM (AA) - Israeli authorities Friday warned its nuclear scientists working in its Dimona reactor facility of a possible Iranian retaliation following the killing of Iran's top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh last week.

According to the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation news network, the authorities have sent warning messages to senior employees, including the former ones, at the Dimona reactor facility to be cautious in their routine activities.

Iranian officials held Israel responsible for Fakhrizadeh's killing vowing not to keep his death unavenged.

On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Iran may target Israeli interests in its neighboring countries.

Earlier on Wednesday, a US official revealed that Israel was behind the assassination of Iran's top nuclear scientist, adding the US administration had known about the attack before it was carried out.

Fakhrizadeh was the fifth prominent Iranian nuclear scientist to be killed since 2010, with Iran blaming Israel for all the attacks.
