GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) – Israel said Sunday that it launched airstrikes targeting positions of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
Positions belonging to the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ military wing, in the southern city of Khan Yunis were hit by missiles launched from Israeli warplanes, according to sources.
There were no casualties according to initial assessments by local sources.
The Israeli military claimed the airstrikes were carried out in response to rockets launched from Gaza into Israel.
