Istanbul expos showcase adventure sports, fun sectors

ISTANBUL (AA) - Two tourist exhibits kicked off in Istanbul on Thursday, bringing together adventure sports and amusement professionals and enthusiasts from dozens of countries.

The 7th International Amusement, Attraction, Park, Recreation Industry Services Exhibition opened with stands showcasing the latest innovations and services in amusement facilities, attraction services, park, recreation and sports facilities as well as water games along with conferences and an award ceremony.

The three-day fair is expected to attract 10,000 visitors from 50 countries, focusing its services on entertainment sector professionals, manufacturers, theme park operators, municipalities, and contractors.

The size of Turkey’s amusement sector size reached $13 billion in the $2 trillion global industry, according to a press release by Tureks, the event organizer.

Meanwhile, visitors flocked to the Adventure Tourism and Sports Exhibition to meet with professionals from the adventure tourism and sports sectors, as well as product and service vendors and travel agencies.

A variety of equipment and supplies for diving, water, winter, outdoor and air sports will be introduced during the four-day expo, while adventure fans give speeches on their experiences in adventure sports.

Both exhibits are being held at the Istanbul Expo Center.
