Jordan reports record daily COVID-19 infections
More than 2,000 new cases take tally over 28,100

AMMAN (AA) - As many as 18 new coronavirus fatalities raised the death toll in Jordan to 255, the Health Ministry said Tuesday.
A total of 2,054 additional infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the highest single-day rise since the beginning of the pandemic, pushed the count to 28,127, according to a statement.
More than 6,766 patients have recovered.
Government spokesman Ali Al Ayed said Jordan will impose a two-day curfew beginning from Friday to stem the spread of the virus.
