Kuwait arrests Filipina for Daesh links
Kuwaiti authorities say the suspect, born in 1984, had entered Kuwait in June as a housemaid

KUWAIT (AA) – Kuwaiti authorities have arrested a Filipina for pledging allegiance to Daesh group and planning a “terrorist” attack in Kuwait.
In a Friday statement, the Interior Ministry said that the suspect, born in 1984, had entered Kuwait in June as a housemaid.
The ministry said security agencies monitored the woman’s e-mail through which it had contacted the Daesh affiliate in Libya using fake name and nickname to evade monitoring.
The accused “confessed she was ready to carry out any terrorist act once circumstances and means were available to target a certain section of the society with a view to harming stability and stoking sedition,” the statement said.
Last month, Kuwait said it had foiled three Daesh plots to carry out attacks in the Gulf country.
