ANKARA (AA) - The Kuwaiti Embassy marked Kuwait’s 57th National Day and 27th liberation anniversary with a ceremony at a hotel in capital Ankara on Thursday that saw participation from Turkish officials and foreign diplomats.
In a joint statement, Turkish Parliament Speaker Ismail Kahraman and Kuwaiti envoy in Ankara Ghassan Yousuf Al-Zawawi praised bilateral relations between Turkey and Kuwait.
Al-Zawawi hoped the leadership of both countries enhance ties further.
Kahraman conveyed the well wishes of the Turkish government and its people to Kuwait and said Turkey would continue its cooperation with the gulf state in efforts to "maintain world peace and regional stability".
Speaking exclusively to Anadolu Agency, Kuwaiti ambassador also said: "Our target is to increase it [ties] and diversify it. The visit of the officials between the two countries have been beautiful and we do not have any issue on that. All what is remaining is the actual work to reach these objectives."
Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Askin Bak, Justice and Development (AK) Party deputy Yasin Aktay and Chairman of Felicity Party Temel Karamollaoglu were among those who attended the embassy event.
