Leonard helps Clippers beat Lakers in Los Angeles derby

ANKARA (AA) - Los Angeles Clippers defeated Los Angeles Lakers 111-106 with comeback performance on Christmas day.

Playing at Staples Center, Clippers refused to be beaten, being down 94-101 with 6:23 to go.

Clippers managed to take the lead with small forward Kawhi Leonard's impressive performance, producing 35 points and 12 rebounds to become the high scorer of the game.

With 3.4 seconds to go, Clippers' Patrick Beverley blocked LeBron James' three point attempt to tie the game while the score was 109-106.

In addition to Leonard's double-double, Montrezl Harrell scored 18 points and Paul George played with 17 points.

For Los Angeles Lakers, Kyle Kuzma scored 25 points and LeBron James had an all-around performance with 23 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds.

Lakers' center Anthony Davis added 24 points and 6 rebounds.

In another Christmas day game, Philadelphia 76ers defeated Milwaukee Bucks 121-109 at Wells Fargo Center Philadelphia.

Sixers' power forward Joel Embiid dominated the game with 31 points and 11 rebounds.

Tobias Harris scored 22 points while Josh Richardson finished with 18 points.

Turkish international Furkan Korkmaz was influential off the bench, scoring 16 points, including 4/5 from the three point line.

For the losing side, Khris Middleton produced 31 points as Giannis Antetokounmpo posted a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
