Liverpool grab 3 points against Tottenham at away

Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0, becoming first team in top 5 European leagues to win 20 of first 21 games

ANKARA (AA) - Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 Saturday to lead the English Premier League table with 16 points ahead of second-placed Leicester City.

The only goal of the game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was scored by Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino in the 37th minute.

Liverpool owned 16-points advantage at the top with 61 points in 21 games, followed by Leicester City with 45 points in the 22 matches and Manchester City with 44 points in 21 matches.

With this win, Liverpool became the first team in the top 5 European leagues to win 20 of first 21 league matches.

22nd week of English Premier League will be ended with Bournemouth-Watford and Aston Villa-Manchester City matches on Sunday.
