Merkel’s third coronavirus test comes back negative
German chancellor to remain in self-quarantine, work from home, says spokesman
BERLIN (AA) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel has tested negative on her third coronavirus test, her spokesman said on Monday.
"The Chancellor will continue to perform her official duties while self-quarantining at home within the next few days," Steffen Seibert told German news agency DPA.
The 65-year-old politician entered self-quarantine on March 22, two days after a doctor who gave her a precautionary vaccine tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Merkel’s two previous tests also came back negative.
