Messi's four goals help Barcelona hammer Eibar

Argentine superstar ends goal drought as Barca increase point total to 55

ANKARA (AA) - Barcelona shutout Eibar Saturday on the legs of Lionel Messi who scored four goals.

The Barca captain scored four goals in minutes 14, 37 40 and 87 at Camp Nou.

Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo was the other goal scorer in the 5-0 win.

Barcelona jumped to first place in the Spanish La Liga with 55 points. Eibar is currently in 17th place with 24 points.

Messi, who was in a scoring drought the last four league game, helped his cause with the quartet of goals that placed him in the top spot of goal scorers in La Liga with 18.
