Moscow Exchange to resume limited trading on Thursday
Transactions can only be made in 33 stocks, says Bank of Russia
MOSCOW (AA) - The central bank of Russia announced that the Moscow Exchange (MOEX), which has been closed since Feb. 28, would open for trading for a limited number of shares on Thursday.
The Bank of Russia stated that the MOEX will be opened between 09:50 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time (0650-1100GMT).
Transactions can only be made in 33 stocks, and short selling will be prohibited.
MOEX plummeted a whopping 33.3% on Feb. 24 when Russia launched a war on Ukraine.
On Feb. 28, trading was suspended until further notice.
