NBA: Boston Celtics beat Los Angeles Clippers 141-133

Celtics record 7th consecutive home victory by defeating Los Angeles Clippers 141-133 in double overtime

ANKARA (AA) - The Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 141-133 in double overtime to record seventh straight home win late Thursday.

Jayson Tatum was on fire by scoring 39 points while Marcus Smart produced 31 points for the Celtics.

Gordon Hayward also posted a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

On the losing side, Lou Williams was the high scorer for the Clippers with 35 points against the Celtics.

The two-time Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard had 28 points and 11 rebounds, while Montrezl Harrell scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

During the game, the Celtics also announced that the franchise will retire their former star player Kevin Garnett's No. 5 jersey next season.

The Celtics are now 3rd in the Eastern Conference, they have a 38-16 win/loss record.

Meanwhile, the Clippers recorded 37 wins and 18 defeats to be in third place in the Western Conference.


- Thunder beat Pelicans 123-118

Danilo Gallinari was impressive with 29 points in Oklahoma City Thunder's 123-118 win against New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center.

Gallinari produced 11 of his 29 points in the last quarter while Chris Paul posted a double-double along with 14 points and 12 assists.

Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson added 32 points for his second consecutive game +30 point game.

The Thunder have 33 wins and 22 defeats, sitting in sixth spot in the Western Conference while the Pelicans recorded 23 wins and 32 defeats, currently out of the playoff contention.
