NBA: Cavaliers beat Pistons, Thompson sparkles

ANKARA (AA) - The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons 115-112 on Thursday night in the NBA.

Cavaliers' power forward Tristan Thompson dominated the game with double-double, producing 35 points and 14 rebounds, to bring the win to his team after five games in the NBA.

Point guards Darius Garland scored 20 points while Collin Sexton added 19 points to the win at the Little Caesars Arena.

For the Pistons, center Andre Drummond gained 28 points and 23 rebounds for a double-double. Point guard Derrick Rose came off the bench to add 27 points, but all was not enough to beat the Cavaliers.

The Cavaliers are currently at 13th spot with a 11-27 win/loss record and the Pistons are ranking 10th with 14 wins and 25 defeats in the Eastern Conference.

- 76ers beat Celtics for 2nd straight win

In another game of the night, the Sixers defeated the Celtics 109-98 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The Sixers' shooting guard Josh Richardson was the top scorer of the game, producing 29 points.

Small forward Ben Simmons gained 19 points and center Al Horford played with 17 points for the win.

For Boston Celtics, Kemba Walker, Marcus Smart and Jayson Tatum joined for 65 points but they couldn't avoid a three-game losing skid.

With Thursday’s win, the Sixers continue the season with 25 wins and 14 losses, while Celtics had 25 wins and 11 losses.
