NBA: Davis drops season high 50, Lakers beat Wolves

Lakers' superstar duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis combine for 82 points over Timberwolves

ANKARA (AA) - Los Angeles Lakers beat Minnesota Timberwolves 142-125 on Sunday night for their fourth consecutive win in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Lakers' superstar duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis were in form as they combined for 82 points and 19 assists.

Davis scored a season-high 50 points along with 7 rebounds while James posted double double with 32 points and 13 assists in 28 minutes at Staples Center.

Davis and James totaled for 82 points, their most ever in a game as teammates.

Alex Caruso and Danny Green also scored in double figures to accompany Davis and James over the Timberwolves.

For the losing side, Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins each produced 19 points.

The Lakers improved to 21 wins and 3 losses with this victory while the Timberwolves dropped to 10 wins and 12 defeats.


- Philadelphia 76ers still unbeaten at home

Philadelphia 76ers gained their 12th straight home win as they defeated Toronto Raptors 110-104.

Tobias Harris was the highest scorer for the 76ers with 26 points and Ben Simmons had a double-double, producing 16 points and 11 rebounds to bring victory to their team.

Matisse Thybulle scored career-high 20 points off the bench as well.

For the Raptors, Kyle Lowry contributed 26 points while OG Anunoby played with 19 points and 10 rebounds.


- Doncic passes Jordan with 19th straight 20-5-5 game

Dallas Mavericks' star Luka Doncic passed Michael Jordan on Sunday night for the most consecutive games with at least 20 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds, since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976.

Doncic racked up 27 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists, but Mavericks fell to the Sacramento Kings at home, 110-106.

NBA legend Oscar Robertson holds the record in that category with 29 straight matches, when he established such run in the 1964/65 season.

He also had 25 straight games of 20-5-5 in 1963/64 season, and 19 straight in 1961/62.
