ANKARA (AA) - The Golden State Warriors managed to survive at last second against Toronto Raptors, 106-105, to extend the NBA Finals to a Game 6.

The Game 5 at Raptors' home ground ScotiaBank Arena was filled with a very excited yet anxious crowd, hoping to see their team lift the NBA title on Monday evening, but it did not happen.

Warriors' 'Splash Brothers' -- Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson -- came to play as they combined for 57 of their team's 106 points.

Despite losing their superstar Kevin Durant to leg injury in the second quarter, the reigning NBA Champions did not give up and opened up a 12-point lead in the third quarter.

Durant's comeback game did not last long as he only managed to stay on court for 11 minutes, leaving the arena on crutches and in a walking boot.

The Raptors, with the title on horizon, erased Warriors' lead and built their own with only 03:28 left to go in the game, 103-97.

That was when the 'Splash Brothers' happened, as Klay Thompson hit a three pointer to cut the lead to three. Then it was Curry's time as he sank a three pointer to tie the game.

With a minute to go, Thompson hit another three pointer to give the Warriors a three point lead, which the Raptors could not overcome.

The Raptors missed out on winning the game, the series and the title by missing the last shot.

Curry scored 31 points, Thompson added 26 as the Warriors forced Game 6 in the NBA Finals.

Draymond Green was again all over the court as he scored 10 points, pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out 8 assists. DeMarcus Cousins chipped in with 14 points in 19 minutes of action off the bench.

Kawhi Leonard's 26 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists were not enough for the Raptors, as six of their players scored in double digits for an all-around team effort.

The Game 6 will be played at Warriors' home ground Oracle Arena on Thursday.
