ANKARA (AA) - The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Boston Celtics 129-128 on Thursday night at TD Garden behind Rajon Rondo's first career buzzer-beater shot.
The NBA's most coveted rivalry (Celtics 17 titles, Lakers 16 titles) once again did not disappoint as the Lakers managed to come out on top.
For the Lakers, superstar LeBron James posted a triple-double in his first match against Boston as a Laker at TD Garden.
James finished with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists.
Young Lakers star Kyle Kuzma was also in top form with 25 points and 5 three-pointers, helping his team's 22 three-pointers in the game, the best in franchise history.
JaVale McGee, Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope each scored 17 points in the victory.
The game was the Lakers 28th win for the season and Boston's 20th loss.
