New car sales in Russia down 78.5% in April

ISTANBUL (AA) – Sales of new cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia fell dramatically year-on-year in April, 78.5%.

The sales was down by 119,258 units to 32,706, data by the Association of European Businesses (AEB) showed on Wednesday.

During the first four months of 2022, the car and light commercial vehicles sales dropped 43% versus the same period last year.

All car brands' sales fell by double digit figures, with sales of Toyota and Volkswagen groups down 92% and 90%, respectively.
