Olympiacos beat Monaco 71-54 to grab 1-0 lead in playoff series

ISTANBUL (AA) - Olympiacos Pireaus defeated Monaco 71-54 Wednesday to get a 1-0 lead in first round playoff series in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.

Georgios Printezis and Shaquielle McKissic led the Greek side with 12 points each off the bench at Peace and Friendship Stadium.

Thomas Walkup (11), Kostas Sloukas (10), and Sasha Vezenkov (10) were Olympiacos's other double-digit scorers.

Donta Hall and Mike James each produced 10 points for the losing side.

- Real Madrid beat Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, 84-74

Real Madrid got the 84-74 win and the 1-0 lead in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague playoffs series against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv.

French guard Fabien Causeur was the highest scorer of the Spanish side with 20 points and five assists in Game 1 of their best-of-five series at WiZink Center.

Guerschon Yabusele finished with 15 points while Rudy Fernandez produced 12 points in the victory.

For the Israeli club, American-born Turkish point guard Scottie Wilbekin helped his team with 20 points.
