Opposition New Democracy leads Greek exit polls

ANKARA (AA) - Exit polls from Greek snap general election has suggested Sunday that the main opposition New Democracy (ND) party will win the polls and form a government alone.

According to exit polls broadcasted on Greek public TV ERT1, the conservative ND will get between 38% to 42% of votes.

The party will elect 155 to 167 deputies for the 300-member Greek parliament, the polls said.

The current ruling leftist Coalition of the Radical Left (Syriza), on the other hand, will become the main opposition party, with votes ranging from 26.5% to 30.5%.

Other three parties, Movement for Change, Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and MeRA25 of former Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis also secured to pass the election threshold of 3% and will elect deputies, according to exit polls.
