Palestinian fatally shot by Israeli army near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) - A Palestinian was killed by Israeli army fire on Thursday near the West Bank city of Ramallah, according to the Health Ministry.

A ministry statement said the Palestinian was gunned down by Israeli forces at the entrance to Beitin town near Ramallah.

Eyewitnesses said Israeli soldiers opened fire on the victim near a military checkpoint in the town.

The Israeli army sealed off the area and prevented medics from reaching the victim, witnesses said.

There was no comment yet from the Israeli military on the report.
