PARIS (AA) - Four suspects accused of setting ablaze a police car with two officers inside during recent anti-government demonstrations in Paris will be charged with attempted murder, Paris Prosecutor's Office said late Saturday.
According to the office, the four suspects aged between18 and 32 were remanded in custody Saturday night.
The suspected were reportedly members of a radical left group, who allegedly attacked a police car with two officers inside and set it alight during demonstrations against labor reforms Wednesday.
The police officers escaped from the car unhurt.
Televised images of the attack had drawn nationwide attention, while one of the officers was also honored by the French Interior Ministry as he defended himself without using any weapon.
