KARS, Turkey (AA) – A military recruiting center in eastern Turkey came under rocket fire from PKK terrorists late Saturday night, according to a local military source Sunday.
Two members of the terrorist PKK organization targeted the office in the Kagizman district of Kars province with rocket launchers at around 1.20 a.m. local time [2220GMT Saturday], the source said, adding that the terrorists had also opened fire at the center following the rocket attack.
The rocket missed the office building and landed nearby, the source said. No casualties were reported.
An operation has been launched to apprehend the terrorists who reportedly fled the scene after an ensuing gunfight.
