PKK terror attack kills civilian in eastern Turkey

TUNCELI, Turkey (AA) – A PKK terror attack on Saturday killed a civilian in eastern Turkey, a health official said.

Mehmet Ozdemir, an excavator operator, died at the scene of attack in Mese Yolu village of Tunceli province, during a road construction.

Security forces have launched an operation to nab the terrorists at large.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the death of some 40,000 people, including those of women and children.
