EDIRNE, Turkey (AA) - Turkish security forces on Tuesday arrested a PKK terror suspect in the country’s northwestern Edirne province, according to a security source.

The security forces nabbed three people in Karakasim village, including one terror suspect and two Tunisian irregular migrants, who were planning to cross to Greece, said the source who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

One of the suspects was wanted by Turkish security forces for being a member of the PKK terrorist organization.

During the operation, security forces reached two human traffickers through one of the irregular migrant’s cell-phone.

All of the suspects were arrested except one of the human traffickers who was released under judicial control.

In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of 40,000 people, including women, children and infants.
