Platform collapse at China power plant kills 9
Government launches investigation after accident in south China's Guangdong province, state-run Xinhua news agency says
ANKARA (AA) - At least nine people died Saturday when an operation platform collapsed at a power plant in southern China, state media reported.
The accident happened at around 8 a.m. local time (0000GMT) at the No. 7 Thermal Power Plant in Guangzhou, capital of southern Guangdong province, official news agency Xinhua said, citing local government sources.
Two others were injured in the incident at the plant, which is still under construction, it added.
Chinese government has launched an investigation into the incident.
