Police in Spain respond to new incident
Reports say officers fired on suspect in municipality west of Barcelona
ISTANBUL (AA) - Catalan police on Monday said a security operation was in progress west of Barcelona, amid local media reports a man wearing an explosive vest was shot by officers.
The incident took place in Subirats, a municipality west of Barcelona, scene of a major terrorist attack on Thursday.
Police have been hunting the driver of a white van which killed over a dozen people in a deadly terrorist attack.
