Police seize cocaine from passenger at Istanbul airport
Authorities find 1,571 grams of cocaine inside whisky bottles of Chilean national travelling from Brazil’s Sao Paulo

ISTANBUL (AA) - More than a kilogram (pound) of cocaine was seized from the baggage of a Chilean national at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul on Sept. 26, according to police Monday.
In a statement, police said the passenger was travelling from Brazil’s Sao Paulo when he was nabbed with 1,571 grams (3.46 pounds) of cocaine hidden inside whisky bottles at the Istanbul airport.
The suspect was taken to a court and was remanded in custody, the statement added.
