PSV Eindhoven win Dutch Super Cup

ANKARA (AA) - PSV Eindhoven won the 2022 Dutch Super Cup (Johan Cruyff Shield) on Saturday, beating Ajax 5-3.

PSV midfielder Guus Til had a hat-trick at Amsterdam's Johan Cruyff Arena. Cody Gakpo and Xavi Simons added a goal apiece for PSV.

Ajax's Steven Bergwijn, Antony and Mohammed Kudus put the ball into the PSV net.

Former Netherlands, PSV, and Manchester United forward Ruud van Nistelrooy, 46, who was hired as PSV head coach in July, won his first trophy as manager.

The win gave PSV the Johan Cruyff Shield for the 13th time.

The Cup was named the Johan Cruyff Shield to honor deceased Dutch legend Johan Cruyff.
