Real Madrid extend their lead at top of table to 5 points over Girona

ISTANBUL (AA) - Real Madrid extended their lead at the top of the table to five points against second-place Girona.

Jude Bellingham, who netted twice in Saturday’s 4-0 La Liga win over Girona, had to come off after 57 minutes, and other goals came from Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo at Santiago Bernabeu.

Joselu missed an opportunity to score the fifth goal of his team from a penalty kick in the 91st minute.

Barcelona were held to a 3-3 draw while Atletico Madrid secured a narrow win over Sevilla.

Real Madrid have 61 points, Girona collected 56 points, Barcelona grabbed 51 points, and Atletico Madrid increased their points to 48 on matchday 24.

- Bayer Leverkusen keep Bundesliga title dream

Bayer Leverkusen went five points clear in the Bundesliga after a 3-0 win against Bayern Munich at BayArena.

Stuttgart passed Mainz 05 with a 3-1 result while Borussia Dortmund defeated Freiburg 3-0.

Collecting 55 points, Bayer Leverkusen are ahead of second-place Bayern Munich. Stuttgart collected 43 points and Borussia Dortmund have 40 points.

Liverpool defeated Burnley 3-1 to jump to the top of the Premier League. Manchester City, who has a game in hand suffered Everton 2-0.

The Sky Blues won six consecutive Premier League matches for the first time since winning their first six of 2023/24.

Arsenal hammered West Ham United 6-0, Tottenham beat Brighton 2-1 and Manchester United defeated Aston Villa with the same score.

Liverpool collected 54 points, two points ahead of Manchester City. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have 47 points each.

- Inter Milan lead Serie A title, 7 points ahead of Juventus

Inter Milan notched a fifth consecutive Serie A victory by thrashing after beating Roma 4-2 at Stadio Olimpico.

AC Milan edged closer to the Serie A title race with a narrow win over Napoli, extending their unbeaten streak to nine games.

The 24th week will close with the Juventus vs. Udinese game.

Inter Milan collected 60 points, seven points ahead of Juventus. AC Milan have 52 points.

- Paris Saint-Germain extend their lead in Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead to 11 points with a 3-1 win over Lille.

Second-place Monaco suffered third-place Nice 3-2 and Brest were held to a 1-1 draw against Clermont.

Paris Saint-Germain collected 50 points, Nice have 39, and Monaco increased their points to 38.
