AL-BAB, Syria (AA) - Five civilians were injured on Thursday when Assad regime forces shelled Syria’s northern city of Al-Bab.
According to an Anadolu Agency correspondent based in the region, the injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, south of Al-Bab, limited clashes were reported between armed opposition groups and regime forces on the outskirts of the town of Tadef.
In February of last year, Turkish troops and the Free Syrian Army liberated Al-Bab from the Daesh terrorist group as part of Turkey's Operation Euphrates Shield.
The operation, which began in August of 2016 and ended in March 2017, was carried out with the aim of eliminating the terrorist presence along the Turkish border.
